Our business seeks the addition of a
Parts Representative
for our Calgary, Alberta Head Office location.
Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Work effectively with a team of colleagues within the parts department to ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
Maintain customer relationships by greeting and acknowledging all customers that you come in contact with.
Identify internal and external customers parts requirements.
Become an advisor to your customers recommending additional parts that may be beneficial to the repair or service in which they are trying to complete.
Arrange the transportation of goods and services when required.
Perform accurate record keeping in regards to invoices, quotes, customer notes, returns, processing cores and warranties.
Answer customer phone calls, emails and all other inquiries related to the parts department.
Prepare and maintain merchandise displays.
Review branch backorders.
Collect payment for parts invoices or customer signatures for charge accounts.
Assist in handling customer concerns ensuring that the business and the customer needs are equally satisfied.
Perform a variety of tasks throughout the warehouse as needed including operating a forklift, picking, packing, shipping and completing necessary paperwork.
Participate in stock verification / cycle counting on an ongoing basis.
Attend and maintain training requirements as requested by management to maintain proficiency in your field.
Perform other duties as requested by Management.
Candidate Profile
Minimum two to three years of related work experience.
Journeyperson parts technician preferred but not required. First or second year apprentices would be considered or equivalent experience.
Excellent mechanical aptitude is required.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize issues.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to be self-motivated and work independently as well as with a team.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels and departments.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results.
Apprenticeship training may be available.
Certified Forklift Operator certificate is preferred.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
You may be required to travel to the US for vendor-specific certification. A valid passport and ability to enter countries outside of Canada is a requirement for this position.

$24.00 to $33.00 per hour depending on certification, length of service and overall experience.
