Summary:



Blue Falls Manufacturing Ltd. ("BFM") is currently looking for an energetic Parts Picker/Runner to join its team on a full-time basis; the position will be based out of the company's facility in Thorsby, Alberta.

Reporting to the Inventory Control RFID Supervisor, with a dotted line of responsibility to the Inventory Control Manager, this fast-paced role is integral in ensuring the prompt selection of parts from inventory and preparation and delivery of those essential parts to a designated party. Parts may be provided to a customer, the production line, or an internal service professional, who picks up on location; alternatively, parts may need to be packaged and prepared to be shipped out. The right candidate will have a sense of urgency while priding themselves on accuracy and care; the Parts Picker/Runner ensures proper packaging of parts, so they are protected during transport and arrive safe and in good condition to the receiving party.

The successful candidate will work Monday thru Friday; our scheduling typically allows for an early start and end to the day in consideration of assisting employees with maintaining work/life balance.

Duties:



Pick and package parts orders for pick up or delivery within the required timeframes Report on progress of orders and order fulfillment issues Load, unload, sort and move shipments manually or using material handling equipment such as a forklift and/or pallet jack Verify deliveries and shipments; accept, count, and take note of parts and their condition Input inventory data into the computer system Sort, move, stack, and palletize boxes Clean-up: sweep and properly dispose of packing materials and refuse General warehousing duties as required

Skills/Abilities:



Exceptional time management and organizational skills; punctuality and attendance Ability to work both under supervision and autonomously Physically fit with good mobility and manual dexterity Able to stand for sustained durations over an eight (8) hour period Ability to walk and physically transport parts items between facilities/buildings, frequently*.
Capable of performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to frequently push/pull and/or lift up to 50lbs unassisted Able to utilize two-way radios to maintain communication with team members Able to communicate with colleagues, customers and couriers in a polite and professional manner

Experience/Qualifications:



Previous experience in parts/picking, shipping and/or receiving, warehousing Proficiency with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, etc.

Work Environment:



Indoor and Outdoor; Yard, warehouse, and periodic exposure to manufacturing plant Exposure to fluctuating weather/temperatures; potential exposure to inclement weather May be exposed to dust/particulates, varying noise levels, and possibly chemicals/fumes Frequent travel by foot on uneven ground; regular climbing of stairs Limited usage of shared utility vehicle (Kubota) for occasional transport of parts

Compensation:
