Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Person to join our team at a reputable dealership. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory, assisting customers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our parts department. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for the automotive industry.

Duties

Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Communicate effectively with technicians and customers to identify parts needs and provide timely assistance. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing for automotive parts and supplies. Process sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings. Assist in the organization of the parts department to enhance efficiency and accessibility of inventory. Provide support in automotive repair processes by sourcing necessary parts quickly and accurately. Collaborate with other departments within the dealership to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a dealership or automotive parts environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong math skills for accurate inventory management and sales processing. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and customers. Experience in sales or customer service is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist clients effectively. A passion for automotive repair and knowledge of various vehicle parts is highly desirable.
