We are looking to expand our team with a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Shop Parts Person. This key role will support our maintenance team by ensuring that they have the right parts, tools, and equipment to keep operations running smoothly and without delay.

The Parts Person will be responsible for managing the inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for the upkeep and repair of equipment and machinery. You will play an essential role in maintaining stock levels, assisting the maintenance team with part identification, and handling the ordering, receiving, and distribution of parts. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:



Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records of all parts, tools and supplies in the inventory system. Research, source and order parts and supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery. Pickup parts and supplies around the metro area. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Assist maintenance staff with identifying and locating parts. Ensure all parts are stored properly to prevent damage. Track parts usage and adjust inventory levels as needed. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to address any discrepancies or shortages. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the parts area. Check availability of warranties. Prepare purchase orders and track order history. Provide support in emergency situations, ensuring quick turnaround on parts orders. Assist in conducting regular inventory audits.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in parts handling, inventory control, or a maintenance environment preferred. Strong organizational skills and multitasking skills. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, technicians, and team members. Basic computer skills for tracking inventory and ordering parts. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, as needed. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
