Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain and ensuring that all parts and components are readily available for automotive service and repair. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, and customer service to support our operations effectively.

Duties



Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of parts and materials. Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management. Utilize ERP systems and order management systems for tracking parts orders and inventory control. Perform data entry tasks related to inventory management and logistics. Assist in demand planning to forecast parts needs based on service requirements. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to maintain efficient warehouse operations. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting technicians and clients with parts inquiries. Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Maintain knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and OEM specifications. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely as needed.

Skills



Strong understanding of supply chain management principles. Proficiency in supplier management and negotiation techniques. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, HVAC systems, and equipment repair. Experience with warehouse management practices including shipping & receiving. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and AS400 software. Competence in data entry, pricing strategies, and demand planning processes. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on inventory control. Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to automotive service and repair. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required.
