Parts Stockroom Associate
to join our maintenance and repair operations team.
Position Summary:
The Parts Stockroom Associate is responsible for managing inventory and ensuring timely and accurate distribution of heavy truck and trailer parts to technicians and departments. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and plays a key role in keeping our fleet running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of parts and supplies.
Organize and maintain parts inventory in a clean and orderly stockroom.
Track parts usage and restock items as needed to maintain inventory levels.
Work closely with mechanics to ensure accurate and timely parts distribution.
Prepare parts orders for service jobs, shop work, or external requests.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Maintain records of purchases, inventory, and usage in the parts management system.
Assist with warranty returns and core tracking.
Follow all safety and operational procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a parts department or stockroom, preferably in a heavy truck or trailer environment.
Familiarity with truck and trailer parts and terminology is an asset.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Basic computer skills: experience with inventory management software is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
