Parts Manager

REPORTS TO:

President/CEO

SUMMARY



The Parts Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of Prime's Parts Department. The Parts Manager manages the day-to-day activities of the parts departments staff, monitors parts sales, ensures part orders are closed, and invoices are issued in a timely manner. This position works in close cooperation with the Service Department and oversees the need for parts supply for a diverse range of material handling equipment.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSSIBILITIES



Lead and manage the teams by providing mentorship and strategic direction to achieve departmental goals and enhance productivity. Monitor parts sales throughout the month and ensure resources are utilized effectively to continually increase sales. Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and ensuring its accuracy. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Working closely with the service department to determine what parts are needed for repairs. Assist in forecasting goals and objectives for the parts department. Track and analysis parts sales trends to forecast future demands. Training staff in new systems and policies. Resolve any complaints or issues related to parts. Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and enhance parts availability and service levels. Ensure parts staff complete quotes in a timely manner. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align parts availability with Technicians and customer requirements. Reviews and appraises the results of activities within the department and takes appropriate actions as necessary. Ensure proper research is conducted to gain knowledge of current customers and continually remain current on market trends and metrics to strategically position the Parts Department. Maintain budgets throughout the year to maximize value for dollars spent. Ensure all counter invoices are invoiced in a timely manner. Ensure the PSSR's are receiving the required parts. Work with the Service Department to ensure all parts are charged to the proper work orders.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS



Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience in an industrial setting. 5+ years of experience in parts management, preferably within the material handling, automotive or machinery industry. Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals. Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and focus on improving the customer's operation. Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to shift focus quickly. Knowledge and experience in an industrial environment. Computer proficiencies.

Working in a climate-controlled office environment Working in a fast-paced environment Working overtime on occasion Sitting for extended periods of time Travel between head office and branches will be on-going

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
