Essential Duties and Responsibilities:





The Parts Inspector will report the Director; COE Demand Planning, his/her responsibilities are as follows,


Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. Evaluate condition of unserviceable aircraft parts and classify according to action required. Evaluate cost for Repair and overhaul of Quarantine Parts. Receive merchandise from different sources for evaluation Provide certification of all aircraft parts required for Top Aces (Alpha Jet and A4) Collaborate with Top Aces Supply Chain team and suppliers to ensure vendor quality assurance. Support Top Aces safety programs and Quality Management System Attend training courses to ensure continued qualifications Assist in the on-the job training and instruction of personnel as required Ensure that master data related to certification, status, condition is maintained and accurate Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor



Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:




Must hold a Valid Transport Canada M1, or M2 License Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, to effectively communicate with internal and external customers located across Canada and Internationally. Experience with Technical data in an aviation company Experience dealing with the Certification of Aircraft Parts Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook) Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Excellence, Service, Integrity and Together Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values



Physical Requirements:




Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone



Special Working Conditions:





May be required to travel from time to time (15%-20% annually)




Supervisory, Training and Advisory Responsibilities:




May be required to provide regular guidance, advice and training to other employees supporting the function. The position is focused on technical mentorship and technical guidance from the Part Evaluation Manager. Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:



Employees are responsible for:




Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately



Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:





Position requires Secret Level ll Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
