is hiring! The Parts Driver is a crucial position responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of automotive parts to customers and internal departments. This role plays a key part in ensuring that the right parts reach their destination promptly, contributing to the overall efficiency of the dealership's Parts operations.


The purpose of this position is to uphold a high standard of customer service, support internal departments, and contribute to the smooth functioning of the parts delivery process.


This is a Part Time position best suited to a retired person with a flexible schedule with 20-25 hours per week.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores and vendors Pick up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, and vendors, to be coordinated

with the Parts Manager and Parts Counter people before leaving

Safely and conscientiously drive a large commercial vehicle Be physically fit and have the ability to lift up 50lbs Complete a log at the time of delivery and request recipient's signature Turn in all paperwork and undelivered or returned parts Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department Wash outside of the vans weekly. Be responsible for the basic upkeep of the vans; check oil with each fill-up and ensure that the vans are safe condition on a daily basis Miscellaneous duties as assigned Assist in Shipping/Receiving if required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to use company cellphone and dispatch software Will be trained on parts department's computer inventory system Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other contacts Professional personal appearance
