Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in managing inventory, processing parts orders, and supporting the supply chain operations within our dealership or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with dealership operations, procurement, and supply chain management, along with strong data entry skills and mechanical knowledge. The Parts Clerk will ensure the timely availability of parts, maintain accurate records, and assist with sourcing and negotiation to optimize inventory levels.

Responsibilities



Manage and maintain inventory of parts using ERP systems and CMMS software Process incoming and outgoing parts orders accurately through data entry and procurement procedures Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation of parts Assist with demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels based on production schedules or customer needs Support dealership or manufacturing operations by providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external clients Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed for inventory movement Maintain organized storage areas and ensure compliance with safety standards Assist in sourcing hard-to-find parts and evaluate supplier options for cost-effectiveness Keep detailed records of transactions, part locations, and procurement activities

Skills



Proven experience in dealership or manufacturing parts departments preferred Strong data entry skills with proficiency in ERP systems, CMMS, and supply chain software Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques Mechanical knowledge relevant to automotive or industrial equipment is a plus Experience with demand planning, inventory management, and supply chain logistics Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Customer service orientation for supporting internal teams and external vendors
