Our signature line is Volvo Construction Equipment, recognized as a world leader in quality and innovation. We have a full time position available in our warehouse. Position Summary: Being a highly motivated team player to ensure Strongco surpasses our customer’s expectations by completing the duties required in a professional and timely manner. Must be enrolled or successfully pass the entrance examination to enroll in the Alberta Parts Apprenticeship Program with intent to achieve Journeyman status through work experience and industry training over a period of 3-4 years. The Parts Apprentice will earn the required hours of experience prior to attending each year’s course training. Course fees are reimbursed upon successful completion of each level. Initial duties will include but may not be limited to the following:

• Ensure compliance with all safe work practices.
• Receive shipments by checking packing slips, counting items and reconciling variances
• Accurately put stock orders away
• Shipping parts as per parts sales invoice with a high degree of accuracy
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the shipping/receiving area and yard.
• Deal effectively with customers and pickup and delivery drivers for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Assist with daily inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory count.
• Work in a computer based inventory management system. SAP experience considered an asset.

• Maintains communications with other departments to ensure timeliness of all incoming and outgoing parts and attachments
• Attend training courses or Toolbox meetings relevant to the position
• Yard duties, such as clean up and reorganization as instructed

The successful candidate for this position must have a minimum of 1 years of experience working in a similar capacity. Forklift, TDG and WHMIS certification would be considered an asset. Good communication, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills will be necessary to succeed in this position. Want to Apply?
