City University of Seattle in Canada is looking for qualified part-time Associate Faculties for the School of Health and Social Sciences in the Master of Counselling Program, Vancouver Campus. Ideal candidates are qualified counselling professionals with knowledge and experience in post-secondary education. Master's degree required. Doctoral degree perferred.
Summary:
There are a variety of clinical and non-clinical focused courses that are available, starting Summer quarter 2022. Examples of clinical courses may include Couples Counselling, Group Counselling, Psychopathology and Psychopharmacology, and Clinical Supervision courses. Examples of non-clinical courses may include Research Methods and Statistics, Testing and Assessment, and Counselling Research Capstone courses.

Part-time Teaching Faculty at CityU have three key responsibilities:

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. A Registered psychologist or mental health professional with a doctoral degree (preferred) or Masters in psychology, counselling and/or clinical social work.
A minimum of 5 years post registration clinical experience.
Registration with a regulatory body consistent with field of practice.
Prior teaching experience is an asset.
Skills in addressing student academic-related issues and concerns in support of retention and student success.
Culturally competent to serve a diverse student and faculty body.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide a learning experience that links application with formal learning and adult learning theory.
Ability to work in a team oriented system, deal effectively with professional staff and faculty, and culturally diverse students.
Ability to present a professional image on behalf of the school and City University of Seattle.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.

Salary :
The Part-time Teaching Faculty salary is based on the level of course, faculty registration and experience, and the number of course credits (1-5).
