Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming and physical education. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each student. Assess students' swimming abilities and develop personalized lesson plans to help them achieve their goals. Maintain a safe and positive environment during lessons, adhering to all safety protocols. Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall swim program. Provide behavior management support to ensure a respectful and focused learning atmosphere. Engage in monthly staff training to stay up to date with current swim instructor practices. Maintaining accurate log of all skills completed.

Experience

Previous experience as a swimming instructor is highly desirable. Lifeguard certification is highly desirable. Experience working with students in various settings, including childcare, health clubs, gyms, or schools. A strong understanding of behavior management techniques is essential for maintaining an effective learning environment.

Expected Hours

6-24 hours per week. Swimming Lessons are offered Monday-Thursday 4pm-7:30pm, Friday 4pm-6:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-12pm. 8 week term.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.75-$17.15 per hour
