Position Summary:Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will provide support to the programs, students, Faculty, Lab School Managers, Accessible Learning Consultants, Learning Strategists/Consultants, and Student Success Specialists. The position will provide staff and students with direction and assistance relating to general questions and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides front line, first contact support and customer service to students and applicants, and the general public via telephone, email, fax and in person.
  • Provides information to potential students on entrance requirements, divisional select and admissions processes.
  • Provides student advisement on policy and procedural issues such as academic standings, program status, registration, police checks, etc. A thorough knowledge of College Policies and Procedures is required.
  • Oversees BANNER/MILLENIUM and related student record matters including grade entry, add/drops, exemptions. Responsible for MILLENNIUM grade entry when faculty cannot enter on time.
  • Attend on-going training relating to BANNER, MILLENNIUM, CAPP, Academic Interface (AI) and relevant college policies and procedures.
  • Provides relevant assistance with progression/graduation processes including printing of grade reports, recording of status, and forwarding relevant documentation to Registration office.
  • Provides administrative support to the Faculty, Lab School Managers, Accessible Learning Consultants, Learning Strategists/Consultants, and Student Success Specialists in the School of Early Childhood, including scheduling of appointments, booking and scheduling tests, communications, and statistical reports.
  • Provides support to Directors office including assisting with events and operational activities.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
  • Three-year post-secondary education program or equivalency.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Experience in the educational sector preferred.

  • Discretion, sound judgement and a commitment to preserving strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to lift between 20 kg or 44 lbs (i.e., lifting boxes, assisting with table and chair set up, archiving, etc.).
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills at a professional level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the Colleges priorities on diversity and equity.
Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.Notes:
  • The College requires proof of degrees, credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post-secondary institutions and/or their international equivalents. Credentials may require validation at the time of interviews or offer.
