Part Time Sales Associate - Cork Fine Wine, Liquor and Ale

The Role

We're looking for an energetic Sales Associate to join our team. This role blends hands-on responsibilities with the chance to be part of a fun, engaging retail environment where every shift is a mix of operational focus and customer interaction.

We are looking for someone who is:

Detail-oriented Collaborative Customer focused Outstanding communicator and team player Comfortable lifting wine and spirits cases (30-40 lbs) throughout the day ProServe Certified (required) Wine Educated (entry level or above) through WSET, ISG or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience

Greet customers and help with selections Create a bespoke experience by listening to customer preferences, offering thoughtful recommendations and fostering genuine connections Contribute to tastings and events, helping customers discover new favourites Process POS (Point of Sale) transactions
Receiving & Stocking

Shelf new product deliveries ensuring carts are packed efficiently for upstairs stocking and fulfilling orders Barcode new product and restock shelves with product from overstock and overflow areas Maintain fridge organization (wine, beer, cocktail) Keep bags and giftbags fully stocked
Store Presentation

Face bottles to keep shelves looking sharp Polish glassware and bottles General upkeep of cleanliness throughout the store Maintain storage areas
Additional Duties

Assist with local deliveries Support in-store and offsite events Follow all safety and AGLC compliance protocols

Hours & Schedule

Our store is open

Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

We are not open evenings, weekends or holidays.
This role typically includes the following shifts:

Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Thursday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Friday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Hours significantly increase from October to December for the holidays - we are flexible on shifts; most part time staff work 20-35+ hours a week during the holiday season.
