Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with product demonstrations, merchandising, and maintaining an organized store environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be key to driving sales and fostering loyalty.

Duties

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and interest. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products that complement customer purchases. Maintain an organized sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices. Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and ensuring products are displayed attractively. Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions accurately and assist with inventory counts. Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns over the phone. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while supervising junior staff as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential. Strong communication skills are required, along with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction capabilities. Experience in merchandising, stocking, and conducting product demos is a plus. Basic math skills are necessary for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
