With its humble beginning in 1993, Supported has grown tremendously and is one of Calgary's largest agencies in the Human Service industry. Supported Lifestyles Ltd. is a non-for-profit agency that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.

Job Duties

As a Support Worker, you'll make a direct and lasting impact in the lives of the individuals you support. Your role will focus on providing compassionate personal care, emotional encouragement, and day-to-day assistance to promote comfort and dignity. You'll help individuals build independence by supporting them in recreational and community activities, skill development, and social participation. In addition, you'll play an important part in administering and documenting medications, as well as implementing behavioural support strategies to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Qualifications/Requirements

Experience working with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges Experience providing behavioural supports Experience providing personal care (e.g. assisting with bathing or toileting and personal hygiene) Post-secondary education in a related field an asset (e.g., human services, social work, psychology etc.) Ability to work in a team environment

Typical Schedule

We are looking for individuals with mainly weekend availability. Shifts typically fall between 09:00-15:00, 15:00-21:00, 09:00-21:00 and 21:00-09:00 (overnights).

We are looking for candidate that have part-time, and relief availability, with the option to pick up additional shifts. We support individuals in all quadrants of the city (NE, NW, SE, SW).

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is based on education and experience and ranges from $18.74-20.11/hour
