Overview

We are seeking a EXPERIENCED and dedicated, skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team to work Mondays and possibly alternate Saturdays. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. This role involves working closely with patients to deliver high-quality dental hygiene services in a supportive and friendly environment. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral hygiene practices and assisting the dental team in various procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software. Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Provide support in orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry when necessary.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in Ontario. Experience with Paradigm software is preferred. Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient base. Previous experience in a dental office setting is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
