Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise mechanical designs, drafting schematics, and developing system layouts using advanced CAD tools. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across construction, manufacturing, and system design sectors, supporting the development of complex mechanical systems and assemblies.

Responsibilities



Develop detailed mechanical designs and schematics utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER. Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for system components, assemblies, and construction documents. Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate conceptual ideas into detailed technical drawings. Assist in drafting system layouts, schematics, and assembly instructions for manufacturing or construction purposes. Utilize Bluebeam, NavisWorks, and other visualization tools to review designs and facilitate project coordination. Support the creation of 2D animations for design presentations or technical documentation. Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to refine mechanical solutions. Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and project files.

Skills



Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and system design processes. Experience with schematics creation, drafting standards, and technical documentation. Familiarity with Bluebeam for PDF markup and NavisWorks for project review coordination. Understanding of construction processes and integration of mechanical systems within building projects. Ability to develop 2D animations related to mechanical systems or assembly sequences. Mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly design and system layout development. Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. This role is integral to delivering innovative mechanical solutions that meet client needs while adhering to industry standards. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with a passion for precision engineering and creative design solutions.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $65,516.54-$92,906.09 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
