Foto Source Canada Inc., a national leader in imaging and photo retail solutions, is seeking an

IT Manager

to join our head office team in Oakville, Ontario. This unique hybrid role combines technology management and hands-on software development, supporting the infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical depth, problem-solving ability, and curiosity -- someone who enjoys working across systems, applications, and cloud technologies

Key Responsibilities IT Management & Infrastructure Oversight

Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ELB). Strong Java + Spring + PostgreSQL backend skills. Front-end frameworks (Backbone, Marionette, Bootstrap). 24x7 support and Linux administration experience. Certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.).

Software Development

Maintain and enhance Foto Source's e-commerce platform hosted on

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, SES, SQS, Route53, IAM, VPC, and ELB. Build, deploy, and maintain

SaaS applications

using custom deployment tools and integrations (AS2, partner configuration, document transmission). Provide 24x7 monitoring and on-call support to ensure continuous service availability. Support partner integrations, debugging, and issue resolution.

Experience

Degree or diploma in

Computer Science

, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or software development roles. Strong understanding of

AWS

,

Linux administration

, and

Java-based web applications

. Familiarity with database management, version control, and web security practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; able to work independently while collaborating across teams. Experience in retail, SaaS, or e-commerce environments considered an asset.

Work Environment

Hybrid work model

- typically 3 days in-office, 2 days remote (subject to HR policy). Reports directly to the

President

of Foto Source Canada Inc. This is a part time role which can be an hourly or daily rate Must be fluent in English and be able to work standard 9 to 5 est hours
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
