The Front Desk Agent ensures guest satisfaction through courteous interactions, prompt problem-solving, and effective communication. They are also responsible for maximizing room sales by converting potential clients into guests. The role involves managing all front desk operations, including guest check-in/out, reservations, telephones, and handling payments, in line with hotel policies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
Maximize revenue by converting inquiries into bookings.
Accurately register guests and handle room assignments.
Coordinate VIP and special requests.
Operate front desk systems, process payments, and balance shift totals.
Handle room reservations, respond to emails, and manage inventory.
Maintain records, including guest registration and billing.
Assist with housekeeping coordination and maintain positive working relationships.
Perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.
Ensure a clean and organized front and back office.
Report guest complaints or security issues.
Provide local area information and transportation details.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to sell and negotiate.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
Basic maintenance skills.
Eligibility to work in Canada.
