Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a classroom setting. This role involves teaching French language skills to students, fostering a love for the language, and creating an engaging learning environment. The French Teacher will also be responsible for adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles. Teach French language skills, including speaking, reading, writing, and listening comprehension. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement. Utilize various teaching methods and resources, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), to enhance the learning experience. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities. Provide tutoring support for students needing additional assistance in mastering the French language. Collaborate with other educators to integrate math concepts into language lessons when appropriate. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; certification in teaching French is preferred. Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; prior classroom experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively. Familiarity with early childhood education principles and special education practices is a plus. Proficiency in proofreading educational materials for accuracy and clarity. A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
