Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)



CareKW is growing and looking for a Foot care nurse in Kitchener. The Foot Care Nurse will work closely with clients to provide specialized nursing services pertaining to foot care in facility and community settings.

Responsibilities:

Implement nursing care as outlined in the patient specific care plan. Provide Foot Care to clients based on their needs Communicate patient care needs and changes in patient status to the unit supervisor/Director of Nursing Provide direct patient foot care as outlined in the patient's care plan including but not limited to administration of medication, completion of treatments, and patient teaching related to care needs Liaise with physicians and other members of the interprofessional care team to ensure resident care needs are met Practice within the scope of practice set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

Role Requirements:

Current registration with the CNO, candidate must be in good standing Must have foot care certification Valid work/study permit (if applicable) Current CPR/First Aid Certification Complete immunization record (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B) Clean Vulnerable Sector Screen (within 3 months of hire) Strong documentation and clinical skills High level of interpersonal skills Access to a vehicle is considered an asset
