We are seeking energetic and vigilant Part-Time/Floater Security Guards to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This flexible role offers the opportunity to support various sites, ensuring safety, security, and loss prevention through proactive surveillance and incident management. As a Floater Security Guard, you will:

Cover shifts when permanent guards book off Step in temporarily if a permanent guard resigns Work across multiple sites as scheduled

- Sat-Sun: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM

- Sat-Sun: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Minimum Requirements

Must hold a valid Alberta Security Services License Must be available for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Minimum 1 year of security, concierge, or customer service experience preferred Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability Knowledge of Health & Safety practices Comfortable conducting interior and exterior foot patrols Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills Basic computer skills and ability to use security software systems

Responsibilities

Monitor multiple locations as assigned, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed Conduct regular patrols of premises, including interior and exterior areas Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors Utilize CCTV systems for surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid or CPR if necessary Manage conflict situations with professionalism and effective conflict management techniques Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and security activities for record-keeping

Skills

Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation and loss prevention techniques First aid and CPR certification to handle medical emergencies confidently Experience or background in law enforcement, military, or security roles is highly advantageous Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations Familiarity with security procedures, including access control and loss prevention strategies Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
