About the Role

As a Facilities Junior Associate at Haven Greens, you'll be a key player in supporting the daily operations and upkeep of our greenhouse facility. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll perform a wide variety of hands-on tasks that keep our site safe, organized, and running smoothly. From removing spent growing media, to completing basic repairs and odd jobs around the facility, this is a diverse, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with their hands and solving practical problems.

This role is ideal for a dependable, adaptable team member who takes initiative and thrives in an environment where every day brings something different.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a forklift or front-end loader to remove used peat moss and plant waste from the greenhouse and transport it to an outdoor compost bin (training and certification to be provided by Haven Greens). Perform general facility upkeep tasks, including clearing drainage gutters, removing debris, and maintaining clean outdoor areas. Complete light repairs and odd jobs around the facility (e.g., replacing light bulbs, assembling furniture, mounting dispensers or signage, etc.). Support organization and cleanliness of shared spaces, tools, and supplies. Respond to facility support needs across teams including cultivation, logistics, and sanitation. Prioritize tasks based on urgency, with support from the Maintenance Manager. Follow all workplace safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.

Candidate Profile

Must-Have:

Experience operating a front-end loader or similar equipment Strong attention to safety, especially when working around people and equipment Comfortable with a wide range of hands-on maintenance and odd-job tasks Ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team Strong work ethic and willingness to pitch in where needed

Nice-to-Have:

General handyman skills, including light carpentry or basic repair work Comfort using tools like drills, impact drivers, and ladders Experience in agriculture, greenhouse, or industrial environments Familiarity with facility sanitation or maintenance practices

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, move, and walk for prolonged periods (75%+ of the workday) Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in varied conditions, including greenhouse (warm and humid) and outdoor environments Must be comfortable bending, reaching, stooping, and climbing ladders as needed
