Barrhead and District Social Housing Association provides safe, affordable, quality housing for the well-being and independence of residents and tenants.

We are currently recruiting for an evening Baker. Additional shift premiums are paid for evening shifts

Duties include but not limited to:

• Preparing desserts and baking for Lodge residents
• Cleaning, sanitizing and organization of kitchen and common areas
• Effective communication and public relations skills
• Screening employees, visitors and contractors
• Assisting residents as needed
• Various other tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Experience baking and preparing desserts
• Must enjoy working with seniors
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Great attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with residents, families , volunteers and staff
• Previous experience handling food considered an asset
• First Aid
• Food Safe training may be considered an asset
• Must be mentally and physically fit to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position (able to lift up tp 50lbs)
• MUST Have Clean Vulnerable Sector Check
• Barrhead and District Social Housing Association operates licensed supportive living facilities. All mandates implemented by Alberta Health are applicable and employees must adhere to them. During outbreaks employees are required to wear masks and eye protection .

Salary: $18.87-$22.37 per hour
