Job Summary

We're excited to welcome a friendly and motivated Part-Time Dog Walker to our team! In this role, you'll work part-time on call, filling in for our full-time dog walkers when they need a helping hand. As you gain experience, you may take on your own clients. You'll provide safe and fun walks for dogs, making sure they're happy and well cared for. We're looking for someone with a genuine love for animals, great handling skills, and the confidence to work independently while keeping our high standards of care.Duties

Take dogs of all shapes and sizes on fun, safe walks, following their favorite routes and keeping to the schedule. Make sure every dog feels comfortable and safe by using gentle, proper restraint techniques while out on walks. Keep parks and walking areas clean and safe, so every walk is enjoyable for pets and people alike. Chat with pet owners to share updates about their pets' adventures, quirks, or any special needs. Observe and promptly report any health or behavioral issues to clients or management. Assist with pet care tasks, including feeding and administering medication when necessary. Uphold high standards of animal handling, including training reinforcement and pet grooming as needed.

Requirements

If you've spent time caring for dogs--whether walking, pet sitting, or just being the go-to animal lover among your friends--that's a big plus! Living close by, in case there are breaks during the day between walks. If you know a thing or two about dog training or have some vet experience, that's a definite bonus! Being familiar with gentle animal restraint, pet grooming, or kennel routines will help you shine in this role. You'll need to be comfortable with the occasional heavy lifting--sometimes our bigger furry friends need a little extra help! Bring your great people skills and a friendly, professional attitude to keep both pets and their people happy. Have experience as a vet tech, assistant, or even working with horses? That's a fun bonus, but not a must! Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
