Pets Get Physical is a Doggie Daycare, Boarding and Grooming Facility located on a beautiful farm land property in Kleinburg, Ontario. We pride ourselves in providing a fun and safe environment with both low and high levels of activity to meet every dogs needs. We introduce socializing, exercise and structure to help keep dogs balanced. At Pets Get Physical we have grown with the knowledge of dog behaviour and their natural instincts.

Working Hours:

This is a part- time (12- 24 hours/week) position.

We operate 7 days a week and are staffed 365 days of the year to provide the best care and service to our Pets and Pet Parents.

All staff are expected to rotate working Evening, Weekends and Holidays

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Customer Service: Interact with Pet Parents during pick up & drop off hours
• Pack Walks & Solo Walks: Supervise dogs in a large, off leash outdoor area
• Rinse and blow drying the dogs after their pack walk
• Cleaning Kennels & Maintaining overall cleanliness of the Facility
• Provide grooming services such as; bathing, nail cutting, de-shedding, blowdrying, ear cleaning (Will train)
• Feeding & Administering Medication (as needed)
• Administrative duties: filing, logging in new clients, scheduling specific appointments etc.
• Have an understanding of Social Media platforms and be able to maintain the social media accounts (Mostly Instagram)
• Lots of Poop Scooping!
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 16+ Years of Age
• Excellent Customer Service- in an "at times" fast paced environment
• Experience working with and/or handling dogs (preferred)
• Knowledge of canine behaviour & ability to interpret canine body language to ensure safe play.
• Valid Drivers License and/or Reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable around all sizes of dogs.
• Hardworking, team player, self starter
• Physically able to handle dogs and walk dogs for 2-3 hours at a time. •We walk in all weather conditions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $34,198.00-$41,798.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
