We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to our food service operations and contributes to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Duties
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash as needed.
Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes for food service.
Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation standards is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others in the hospitality industry.
Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and cooking techniques.
