Halenda's Fine Food is a well-known and respected establishment offering high-quality meats, prepared foods, and exceptional service. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Staff / Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key player in our store, you will be involved in a variety of tasks that support both kitchen operations and customer service, ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their purchases, answering questions, and ensuring they are satisfied with their experience.

Dishwashing & Cleaning:

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as keeping the store neat and tidy.

Multitasking:

Effectively juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on quality and efficiency.

Product Placement:

Ensure the store's self-serve areas are stocked with products, replenishing stock as needed.

Cash Handling:

Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash in accordance with company policies.

Food Preparation:

Prepare and cook various menu items such as burgers, souvlaki, shish kebabs, and other delicious offerings in accordance with Halenda's recipes and standards.

Slicer Handling:

Use the slicer to prepare meats and other items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality.

Packaging & Pricing:

Package prepared products and label them with accurate pricing, ensuring that all items are ready for display and sale.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and clean work environment for yourself and customers.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is an asset but not required. Ability to handle food safely and efficiently. Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize in a busy setting. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Cash handling experience is an asset. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
