Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our daycare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals for children. As a Cook, you will be responsible for meal preparation, unique menu creation, grocery lists, dishes and ensuring you know all the allergies of the center.

Duties

Prepare and cooking lunch and snack for 40 children daily Adding variety and exciting items that kids will like Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. planning of menus and based on seasonal availability Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Monitor levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock is low. Ensure timely service and quality control. reliable and punctual Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, feedback, and improvements.

Experience

Previous experience in meal preparation or cooking within the food service or food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that excite children.

Pay: $17.00-$30.00 per hour
