The Concession Cook plays an important role in delivering a great guest experience at the CAA Centre. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking food items in concession stands, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting food and beverage operations during events.
Key Responsibilities
Set up concession stand equipment (fryers, grills, warmers, etc.) prior to opening.
Prepare and cook food orders received from concession cashiers in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure food is handled and stored safely in compliance with health and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness of cooking and prep areas before, during, and after service.
Assist with cleaning seating areas (e.g., picking up garbage) during events when required.
Support event tear down, which may include folding chairs or helping reset event spaces.
Communicate effectively with concession staff to ensure smooth service during busy event times.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience as a short order cook, line cook, or in concession-style food preparation preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand for extended periods (4-8 hours).
Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of kitchen equipment.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support scheduled events.
