Urban Impact is seeking an experienced and motivated Casual/Part Time contract Digital Specialist we estimate 6 to 8 hours per week. The Digital Specialist is responsible for implementing, and managing digital content for our internal Communication Boards. Our new Communication Boards are an important communication channel for delivering timely, relevant information to employees. We deliver personalized, meaningful content: notifications, company news, HR and Safety updates, critical internal communication and videos. The Digital boards help improve employee engagement, drive productivity, and make enterprise-wide communications easier. Communications Specialist to join us on a one-year contract, with the potential for an extension. Key Responsibilities: The part time Digital Communications Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring Urban Impact\xe2\x80\x99s digital board communication objectives are delivered on.

  • Creating and posting relevant, timely continuous content to digital boards in an effort to reach employees and drive engagement.
  • Working with Marketing Consultant to implement content strategy so that it aligns with internal communication objectives.
  • Overseeing the digital board weekly content calendars.
  • Supporting the function of high-quality internal communications and ensuring organizational consistency.
  • Assist with editing, and formatting presentations for internal audiences.
  • Drafting digital copy and creating graphics for internal communications with an HR, employee relations and safety focus.
  • Translating operational information into digital communications material that is easily understood.
  • Delivering a proactive level of service that builds trust to meet internal needs with an attention to detail, accuracy, engaging content, and timelines met.
  • Providing editing support to ensure branding is consistent and cohesively represented.
  • Conducting rigorous Quality Assurance testing, reviewing content prior to deployment
  • Keeping digital board(s) content timely and up to date.
  • Working closely with CEO, Marketing, HR and other internal teams.
  • Staying on top of the ever-changing digital space and leverage internal communication best practices.
Qualifications: Education: Post-secondary certificate in Marketing or related field. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Marketing, HR or another related field preferred. Experience:
  • 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a small-to-medium scale digital marketing team.
  • Experience planning and testing digital internal communications.
  • Knowledge and experience with digital marketing
  • A working understanding of digital internal communications platforms (intranet or digital boards, email marketing, content management systems, etc.) and best practices.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to proactively manage internal communication campaigns using a Google Sheets calendar.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and have sound business judgment in project prioritization.
  • Ability to tailor and match our core messages to the needs of our team.
  • Experience with graphic design or multi-media for visual elements, preferred.
  • An eye for detail.
  • An understanding of graphic design principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A highly collaborative mindset and a commitment to working effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and varied workloads.
  • A desire to do things better and a commitment to professional growth

Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 6-8 per week Salary: $24.00-$25.00 per hour Flexible Language Requirement:
