Cambrian College's School of Health Sciences and Emergency Services is accepting applications for clinical faculty in the Dental Hygiene Program. Flexibility in scheduling is required. This position may require some evening shifts.

Positions are expected to begin in January 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and deliver weekly lessons to teach and reinforce core dental hygiene clinical skills in alignment with the competency profile Provide weekly classroom instruction to introduce new skills and review concepts and skills covered in clinic Develop and implement student evaluations for the clinical setting, and review results to assess performance Review student assessments and clinical documentation to verify achievement of competencies Provide remedial instruction and support for students requiring additional guidance to meet learning outcomes Collaborate with the clinical team to support effective clinic operations and student learning

Qualifications

Should have a minimum of a three-year bachelor's degree. Applicants who have completed a substantial portion of a bachelor's degree and are committed to completing it in the next 1-2 years will be considered. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application

education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
Must have training in educational theory and methodology Current registration and in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) Must have a minimum of three years of clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues Computer literacy including proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Ability to work in a team environment Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the learning space

Additional Assets/Preferred:

Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level Experience using Abledent Software
