Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a caring and dependable Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring at least
two years of experience
and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by recording daily transactions in Quickbooks, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling accounts. Key duties include managing payroll, preparing financial statements, and assisting management and accountants with annual audits.
Hours:
Once a week, 7-8 hrs a day
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction recording
: Record day-to-day financial transactions, such as payments, purchases, and sales revenue in Quickbooks.
Processing EFT's and Bill Payments:
Process EFT's and Bill Payments in online banking system to pay/receive funds to/from suppliers and customers (physicians).
Accounts management:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Account reconciliation
: Balance and reconcile the company's accounts, including bank statements, to ensure accuracy.
Payroll processing:
Handle and process payroll on a predetermined schedule.
Financial reporting:
Prepare and generate financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
Other duties:
Maintain and organize financial records and filing systems.
Monitor transactions for irregularities and inconsistencies.
Communicate financial information to management and assist accountants during audits.
Ensure timely collection of receivables from customers.
Work with spreadsheets and Quickbooks bookkeeping software to manage financial data.
Qualifications:
Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare or small business environment.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
