Part Time Art Therapist

Job Description
Responsibilities
Providing art therapy services at a school in Kahnawake community Assessing students' therapeutic needs, developing art therapy interventions Scheduling clients, contacting parents to obtain consent for therapy sessions Report writing to summarize the therapy sessions Meeting with teachers and/or school staff when needed to discuss the therapeutic needs of students Providing support to teachers for students who have difficulty with emotional or behavioural regulation in the classroom
Qualifications
MA or Graduate certificate in art therapy Professional membership with a Quebec art therapy Association Liability insurance Availability for two full work days on Mondays and Tuesdays Ability to commute to Kahnawake - access to a vehicle is an asset Knowledge of working at the schools and with the Indigenous children Ability to schedule/reschedule appointments on a weekly basis Being supervised by a CATS supervisor and continuing the supervision for the duration of the contract
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 per week

Kahnawake, QC (J0L): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
