Key Responsibilities:
? Develop and deliver engaging sport & physical activity, nutrition, and health &; wellness based programming for children in grades 1-6, in after school high-priority neighbourhoods across the City of Hamilton
? Create a welcoming environment for children that encourages daily participation
? Demonstrate the use of positive behaviour guidance
? Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong facilitation skills
? Maintain professional and respectful relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, school staff, parents/guardians, and community members.

? Ensure program health & safety protocols are followed
? Attend monthly meetings & trainings
? Follow all guidelines as set out by the Ministry, School Board, and BGC Hamilton-Halton

The ideal candidate will have:
? A commitment to the Clubs Mission, Vision, and Core Values
? A passion for sport, physical literacy, and being active for life
? Diploma/degree or is currently enrolled in a post-secondary program studying recreation or leisure services with a focus/experience working with children ages 6-12 years.
? Availability to work approximately 15 hours per week (Monday to Friday) considered an asset
? G-Class Drivers' License, and Safe Food Handlers
? A clear police Vulnerable Sector check and valid First Aid/ CPR level C (Red Cross preferred) ? High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development is an asset
