Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, a 200-bed long-term care facility, is seeking a compassionate and creative
Activities Coordinator
to support our Recreation Department. The Activities Coordinator will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging programs that promote the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of our residents. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, community-minded, and passionate about creating meaningful moments for seniors.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Recreation Therapist in planning, coordinating, and implementing daily and special event programming
Lead and supervise group and individual activities, both on-site and within the community
Maintain records of attendance, therapeutic outcomes, and resident engagement
Provide weekend and evening programs as scheduled
Support Chapel services, musical programming, and community entertainment visits
Help prepare monthly calendars and assist in outings, including operating the Home's van (Q'Straint system)
Collaborate with staff, families, volunteers, and community partners to promote program participation
Ensure safe work practices and participate in safety programs
Qualifications & Skills:
Grade 12 education or equivalent
Minimum two years of experience in recreation planning or completion of an Activity Director's course (or willingness to complete)
Valid Class 4 Driver's License
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to support musical or chapel programming is an asset
Physically able to perform duties and support resident outings
Excellent attendance and work record.
Work Conditions:
This role requires availability for days, some evenings and weekends.
Must be currently residing in the Moncton area.

Job Type:
This is a part-time permanent position with a 4-week rotating schedule: Weeks 1, 2, & 4: Monday (9am-5pm), Thursday (9am-5pm), Friday (9am-5pm). Week 3: Monday (9am-5pm), Thursday (12:30pm-8:30pm), Saturday (8:30am-4:30pm) and Sunday (8:30am-4:30pm). Some flexibility is required for filling in sick calls/vacation schedules
