Position: Line Painter and Maintenance Specialist (Parking Lots and Building Maintenance)
At The Parking Lot Pros, we specialize in keeping parking lots and buildings in top-notch condition. We're currently seeking individuals who are handy, reliable, and eager to work and join our team.
The work can be very labour intensive so we are seeking an energetic individual able to handle a heavy workload.
This is a utility position with options to work with other trades, learning a multitude of skills. It has the potential to reach up to 40 hour work weeks at this time, depending on the level of involvement the applicant requests. The applicant must have a class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract and their own transportation to work. Experience driving large trucks is an asset.
Work Tasks:
Parking lot/roadway line painting
Hot tar crack sealing
Pothole and asphalt repair
Concrete curb repair
Sign installation and repair
Traffic calming installation and repair
Parking lot sweeping and backpack blowing
Building maintenance and general handyman work
Parking lot sanding and salting
Snow clearing
Sales and client tasks
Work Details:
30-40 hours a week in summer and 20-30 hours a week in winter with the potential for more
Daytime, evening, early morning, weekend and holiday shifts
Pay rate starts at $27.50/hr for on the job work
Opportunity for advancement to consistent full time work and running your own crew
Job schedule is usually set 1-2 weeks in advance but sometimes shorter notice
Work involves out of town work all over Alberta but mostly frequenting Red Deer, Calgary and Edmonton.
Sometimes lunch is not available and you need to bring food.

Requirements:
Class 5 driver's license, clean abstract and transportation
Valid First Aid Training
Must be reliable and punctual
Must be able to lift 60lbs regularly (The paint cans are 60lbs and need to be lifted in and out of the containment bin.)
Must be able to work early mornings as early as 4:00 am, evenings as late as 12:00 am, weekends and holidays.
Handy with tools and equipment
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Experience in other parking lot maintenance or related field is a plus, but not required
Experience in general contracting and handyman services is a plus, but not required
Experience driving larger vehicles is a plus, but not required
