Responsibilities:



As a Parking Enforcement Officer for Brantford, you'll:

Enforce parking restrictions on public and private properties in the city, ensuring compliance with municipal parking by-laws. Conduct patrols in assigned areas, issuing infraction notices when necessary. Record and report defective traffic control devices, missing, and damaged signage. Attend court to present evidence as required, upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Respond promptly to complaints and calls for service, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. Perform any other duties as assigned by the parking enforcement supervisor, contributing to the overall safety and orderliness of the city.

Qualifications:



To excel in this role, you'll need:

An Ontario secondary school diploma, demonstrating your educational foundation. Ideally, 2 years of community college education in Law and Security or a related field, showcasing your commitment to excellence. A minimum of 1 year of experience in parking and/or enforcement, highlighting your expertise in the field. A valid Class G Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract, ensuring you can fulfill the requirements of the role. Knowledge of municipal parking by-laws, demonstrating your understanding of local regulations. Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing you to interact tactfully and helpfully with the public. Strong customer service and decision-making abilities, enabling you to handle various situations with professionalism. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and be on-call when needed. A police clearance, underscoring your integrity and suitability for the position.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
