Under the supervision of the Park Caretaker and the general direction of the Lucien Lake Regional Park Authority Board, the Park Front Gate Worker position is responsible for operating and maintaining the front gate and first point of contact for campers and visitors.
Primary Duties
1. Deal with the public in a respectful manner when entering the park.
2. Making sure they are up-to-date on all aspects of the park and providing correct information.
3. Engage with park users to gather feedback and identify ways to improve the park.
4. Knowledge in Microsoft suites.
5. Operating a computer, maintaining cash records, and cash outs.
6. Answering phone calls.
7. Other duties as may be assigned by the Board from time to time.
Experience & Qualifications
1. Previous related experience in a similar position ideally in a supervisory capacity.
2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
3. Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision, expedite and resolve issues.
4. Knowledge of safety working standards and regulations.
5. Criminal records check and Child Abuse Registry Check is required.
6. Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
