About Matthews + Associates
Most wealth firms still push product. We do something different.

We lead with real planning, tax aware decisions, and evidence based investing. No product agenda. No pressure sales. No eat what you kill culture.
We believe a planning career should not require you to be a sales person to grow. You can build an exceptional career by becoming world class at technical planning, plan design, and creating client clarity through great analysis and implementation.

Understands that career growth requires extra effort over time, including education, professionalism, and relationship building
The Role
This role is for someone who loves financial planning, systems, and precision.
You will be a core part of our Planning pillar, responsible for building and maintaining high quality retirement plans, keeping Conquest accurate and current, and ensuring every client meeting is supported with clear, advisor ready outputs.
This is not a sales role. You will work closely with our advisors so they can focus on client relationships, communication, and decision making, while you own the technical planning engine behind the scenes.
We are open to hiring at Paraplanner Level 2, Paraplanner Level 3, or Senior Financial Planner depending on experience.
Primary Outcomes
Plans are accurate, current, and advisor ready before every client meeting
Client meetings are supported by clear scenarios, clean data, and strong documentation
Planning workflows improve over time because you find friction and help fix it
Advisor capacity increases because planning prep and Conquest maintenance are owned end to end
What You Will Own
Plan build and Conquest ownership
Build and update retirement plans in Conquest with accuracy and consistency
Maintain plan inputs, assumptions, cash flow, retirement income, tax scenarios, and key planning outputs
Model core scenarios (retirement timing, spending changes, CPP and OAS strategy, withdrawal sequencing, major purchases, downsizing, gifting)
Create advisor ready meeting visuals and summaries that support clear client decisions
Meeting prep and planning support
Prepare planning outputs, scenario comparisons, and agenda notes for review meetings
Ensure plans reflect current client data and recent life events before meetings
Support advisors with technical prep so meetings feel calm, clear, and professional
Implementation overlap and workflow support
Coordinate planning related onboarding steps and information gathering with the client care team
Support account openings, trades and plan updates tied to life events
Provide backup support on operational items when needed, especially during busy seasons and major projects
Process improvement and planning standards
Help refine planning workflows so our planning software becomes a true capacity lever
Spot recurring planning errors or bottlenecks, then propose improvements
Contribute to planning templates, checklists, and quality standards over time
