Our Business Law team works closely with individuals looking to incorporate a new business, as well as established small and medium-sized businesses. We help our clients build and maintain successful companies, including managing their annual filings, preparing and reviewing contracts and agreements, and navigating the trademark process.
The Estate Law Team
We understand that our clients are not only grieving the loss of their loved one, they also may be unfamiliar with managing and distributing an estate. Our Estate Law team supports our clients in their role as executor by guiding them through the entire probate process, from reviewing the will through to obtaining the grant of probate.
Position Summary
You will play a vital role in the client experience, serving as the main point of contact for our Business and Estate Law clients. You will support the team in managing client files, tracking key milestones, and providing the administrative foundation that allows us to deliver seamless legal services. This role is perfect for someone who is conscientious, detail-oriented, client service-focused, and values the opportunity to help build up an emerging practice area.

8:30-5:00, Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Compensation:
$60,000-$70,000/year
Key Responsibilities
Providing professional and responsive client service across phone, email, virtual, and in-person channels
Managing file lifecycle timelines, tracking key dates, and ensuring smooth communication
Assisting in meetings with new and existing clients, taking comprehensive notes, summarizing key items, and ensuring follow-ups occur
Drafting and editing retainer agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents with precision and care
Creating and maintaining corporate minutes books
Updating and organizing file materials in internal databases
Ensuring all documents are formatted and reviewed for accuracy and compliance before submission
Assisting with document management, including scanning, copying, and filing important materials
Providing general administrative support to the Business and Estate Law teams, always with a focus on quality and client care
Qualifications
2+ years' experience in Corporate Law, Estate Law, or similar practice areas
Post-secondary degree or diploma, or accreditation from a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal program
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong organizational and project management skills
Effective and empathetic communication skills
Initiative to create a comprehensive collection of document precedents for the Business Law team to utilize
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a quick learner with new software (legal software training provided)
