Tapper Cuddy LLP is a full-service law firm (based in Winnipeg, Manitoba) that helps individuals and business owners get the legal support they need and results they're looking for in litigation, business law, family law and 20 other areas of practice. To continue to achieve a high level of service, we are looking to add Family Department.

Role:



This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual eager to advance their career in family law. This role will be supporting multiple lawyers preparing documents. We are seeking a dynamic individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is committed to delivering results.

Responsibilities:



Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, including affidavits, financial statements, agreements, and correspondence. Manage case files ensuring all materials are accurate and deadlines are met. Assist lawyers with trial and hearing preparation, including document organization. Assist lawyers, with conducting legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Manitoba's family law legislation and court procedures. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Skills & Qualifications:



Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and deliver work with a high level of attention to detail. Self-motivated and efficient in a fast-paced environment. Strong Communication Abilities: Clear and professional verbal and written communication with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Technologically Proficient: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other relevant software tools. Customer Service Oriented: Demonstrated ability to provide professional, responsive service to internal and external stakeholders. Professionalism and Discretion: Strong understanding of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information. Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in family law is required for this role. Education: A Legal Assistant Certificate from an accredited college is an asset but not required. Candidates with completed post-secondary education from an accredited college or university will also be considered.
