Paralegal - Immigration and Refugee Specialist

to join us as a

contractor

and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and file immigration and refugee applications, including work permits, study permits, family sponsorships, and PR applications. Assist clients with refugee claims, appeals, and judicial reviews. Communicate with government agencies, tribunals, and other stakeholders. Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in immigration laws and policies. Draft and submit legal documents, affidavits, and other required materials. Manage case files and ensure accurate record-keeping. Provide excellent client service and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience

as a paralegal in immigration and refugee law. Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian immigration policies, procedures, and practices. Strong understanding of IRCC, CBSA, and IRB processes. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic, etc.) is an asset. Paralegal license in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
