Schedule: Monday to Friday , 37.5 hrs - 40 hrs per week
Starting Pay Rate: to be determined based on experience and qualifications

AF Paralegals Professional Corporation is seeking a full-time Paralegal Associate. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and will be detail oriented. This individual will play an integral role in ensuring that our clients are provided with the exceptional client services that they have come to know and expect from us.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for clerical, administrative and general office duties
Maintain multiple calendars and handle scheduling
Communicate regularly with clients, coworkers, and third parties in a professional manner by phone, in writing, via video conference (zoom or similar) or in person
Assist senior licensed staff with file management, including organizing and expediting the flow of work, and the preparation of file summaries
Preparation of correspondence and briefs as directed
Service of legal documents, correspondence, and evidence materials
Assist with data entry and billing as directed
Draft and prepare pleadings
Complete client consultation and intake meetings
Represent clients before tribunals and Courts within the permitted scope of practice for licensed paralegals in Ontario
Any similar tasks that may be assigned
Qualifications/Competencies:
Paralegal Diploma
Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
Valid errors and omissions insurance
1-2 years experience in a similar role is preferred
Superior time-management skills, multitasking, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Proven organizational skills
High proficiency with Microsoft Office, GSuite, and Adobe
Proficiency with LEAP or other law office accounting software is an asset
Ability to provide client service in both English and French is an asset
Criminal Record Check
Valid Driver's Licence is preferred
Access to reliable transportation
