  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Working knowledge of the papermaking process
  • In-depth knowledge of IT tools used to manage the performance of paper machines (Power BI, ParcView, etc.)
  • Ability to manage unionized employees
  • Available to be on call on a rotating schedule

They will be responsible for overseeing the papermaking process on a technical level, ensuring quality requirements are being met.Job Duties:
  • Provide technical support at the process level for the Paper Mill by carrying out the required follow-ups in terms of performance, quality, and costs
  • Act as the main support to the Paper Mill Operations Manager
  • To be a major player in the establishment and maintenance of the culture of prevention in terms of health and safety at work
  • Supervise and direct the work of the Paper Mill Supervisors
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the processes in place and ensure the maintenance of management systems
  • Look for innovative and effective options to reduce and control costs throughout the papermaking process
  • Participate in the implementation of systems and processes focused on the operational excellence of paper machines
  • Promote the vision and mission of health and safety and compliance with environmental standards for the plant. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of safe work processes in the department that promote the reduction of risks, accidents, incidents
  • Driving excellence through leadership. Motivate and mobilize the team to promote excellent working relationships
  • Foster team collaboration, problem-oriented solutions while respecting individuals as well as being able to recognize efforts made and celebrate successes or team efforts
