Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction practices. This role involves working on various projects, including renovations, restorations, and new constructions. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Perform plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry tasks as part of the finishing process. Execute industrial painting tasks on various surfaces including concrete, masonry, and stucco. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; perform basic maintenance as required. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects. Strong knowledge of construction estimating and basic math skills for material calculations. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the painting industry. Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Experience with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and fixture installation is preferred. Knowledge of renovation techniques and restoration processes is a plus. Previous construction site experience is essential; maintenance person experience is beneficial. Understanding of color theory to assist clients in making informed choices about finishes. Pay: $18.32-$33.22 per hour
