Summary: It is the responsibility of this of this position to perform all blasting and painting tasks necessary to prime, coat and finish oilfield equipment after assembly. The purpose of the position is to provide a quality finish on FET products, using the finishing consumables provided, according to the qualified coating procedures, within the time allocated in the production schedule, and in accordance with FET Quality Requirements. Active participation in the company HSE program. This position is a part-time temporary role with an average of 16-24 hours per week scheduled. Overtime may be required to meet shop demands. Job Duties/Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Operates spray paint guns to apply standard primers and enamels. \xc2\xb7 Maintain accurate paint logs on paint usage and other data as it relates to the job. \xc2\xb7 Operates a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts \xc2\xb7 Set-up/blast with sand, shot or grit \xc2\xb7 Knowledgeable in coating types and methods \xc2\xb7 Ability to service blast and paint equipment \xc2\xb7 Operate overhead cranes and forklifts \xc2\xb7 Ability to work safely - must. \xc2\xb7 Operates other equipment used to prepare parts for painting to include but not limited to compressors, grinders and sanders. \xc2\xb7 Proper handling and disposal of paint materials. \xc2\xb7 Accountable and responsible for health, safety and environmental conditions and practices. \xc2\xb7 Accurate reporting of paint usage and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) checklist. \xc2\xb7 Number of direct quality incidents - <15 a year. Skills/Knowledge \xc2\xb7 Ability to paint using a spray gun \xc2\xb7 Prep equipment prior to sandblasting and painting. Education \xc2\xb7 A high school diploma or equivalent. Experience \xc2\xb7 1 + years experience \xc2\xb7 Prior experience with crane and rigging considered an asset \xc2\xb7 Experience in an ISO 9000 environment is suggested.
