Iron Bridge Fabrication Inc. is a metal fabrication company that specializes in Highway Bridge welded wide flange girders, tub girders, cable stayed bridges, truss bridges and Corten pedestrian bridges. Additionally, we excel at large custom metal fabrication and service customers in the Government, Industrial, and Agricultural sectors. Established in 2011, we have experienced sustained growth since inception. We are now located in New Hamburg, Ontario (15 minutes west of Kitchener-Waterloo) in our new, purpose-built, state of the art facility. We take a team approach to everything we do, both internally and with our clients. As a result, we remain on a path of continual growth. We are looking for a bright, motivated team player to join us, and fill the role of Painter/Sandblaster. Description of Role
A Painter/Sandblaster is part of the production team. Involved in project discussions, communicating with the Metal Fabricators, Welders, Project Foreperson, and the Plant Manager, to produce high quality steel fabrications. The Painter/Sandblaster works primarily under the direction of the Project Foreperson and the Plant Manager. Responsibilities and Duties As Painter/Sandblaster your duties will include:

• Stage parts and welded assemblies for blasting, painting, and assembly processes
• Operate other production equipment and perform tasks necessary to complete product to engineering specifications and quality requirements
• Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for blasting and painting processes
• Maintain and repair painting and blasting equipment as needed
• Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements
• Review finished assemblies, parts, and product quality requirements
• Report production issues and assist in resolutions
• Perform other duties as requested by the department manager

Qualifications and Skills The preferred candidate will have the following attributes:

• A positive, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn and share new ideas
• Organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task and manage time efficiently
• A good foundational knowledge of steel, metal fabrication, structural steel assembly, installation, welding, painting, and sandblasting

Preference will be given to candidates that:

• Posses a valid G license with a clean drivers abstract
• Have experience in an industrial production blasting and painting environment
• Achieved a high school diploma
• Have job related training, safety training, and certificates

Hourly Rate: $22-30/hour Job Type: Full-time Salary: $22.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits:
